Intersectional Socialism
What is intersectional socialism?
At least since the late 1960s, the far-Left has surreptitiously undermined America’s liberal, democratic institutions through a remarkably successful campaign to advance “intersectional socialism." Intersectional socialism is a set of dogmatic beliefs, values, and political aims generated and aggressively advanced by identitarian extremists from historically marginalized groups and their socialist and anarcho-communist "allies." It is an authoritarian political philosophy that calls for “equity,” a euphemism for group-based equality of outcome “by any means necessary,” including overt discrimination against individual members of historically dominant groups and intolerance of political opponents.
It simplistically divides people into privileged/oppressor and oppressed/victim groups and equates inequality of outcome among these groups to evidence of oppression. Platitudes like “social justice” are advanced through “diversity and inclusion” and “affirmative action” initiatives that overtly discriminate against individuals from historically dominant “privileged oppressor” groups to advance what proponents consider the collective interests of “oppressed victim” groups. Collectively, these platitudes and euphemisms provide a rhetorical trojan horse that has enabled a relatively small but extremely active and vocal militant minority to smuggle radical, illiberal ideas into mainstream institutional policy and practice.
These efforts have had remarkable success in compelling “enlightened”/"woke" members of historically dominant groups to see themselves as “privileged oppressors” who can only redeem themselves by surrendering their constitutionally protected rights, forfeiting their self-respect, and embracing an undignified attitude of ethnomasochism. Many white “progressives” in particular have a pathological craving for “ally” status and approval from identitarian militants from historically marginalized groups.
The latter clearly find their undignified behavior and beliefs unworthy of respect and see their subservience as a sign of weakness that can be easily manipulated and leveraged in a struggle to advance their own power interests. Like the low-status social outcasts who join criminal gangs, mobs of “woke” leftist "allies" enthusiastically take on the dirty work of black chauvinist bosses (who they can't seem to be able to differentiate from regular, smart, sane, and cool black people) and other militant identitarians to win favor, signal virtue, and demonstrate their mettle.
In pursuit of its utopian aims, intersectional socialism requires perpetual imposition of illiberal and undemocratic laws, policies, and practices that would systematically discriminate against the privileged oppressors and in favor of the oppressed victims. Dissenters from intersectional socialism, including critics from a wide range of identity groups and political perspectives, are routinely labeled with epithets (“fascists,” “racists,” “sexists,” “uncle Toms,” etc.). Their arguments are regularly dismissed and/or suppressed by aggressive activists who are unwilling to evaluate supporting reasons and evidence for claims that challenge intersectional socialism’s cultural hegemony.
Proponents of intersectional socialism use intense social pressure, euphemism, and extremely creative and highly effective propaganda to justify the intolerant and often violent behavior of militant foot-soldiers and activists who enforce its rules on an ill-informed, easily manipulated, cowed public. With platitudes that no reasonable, ethical person could possibly oppose (e.g., “diversity, equity, inclusion,” “social justice,” “anti-racism,” “anti-fascism,” “Black Lives Matter,” “racial justice,” etc.), its advocates have achieved a great deal of success toward institutionalizing unwarranted, overtly bigoted beliefs and fundamentally illiberal, undemocratic, and anti-American values.
Intersectional socialism has been increasingly embraced and aggressively promoted by influential journalists, politicians, mainstream “blue checkmark” figures on Twitter, in sports and entertainment, from Netflix to Amazon to Nike, from corporate boardrooms, and in K-12 schools. Most distressingly, militant political movements like Antifa and Black Lives Matter have engaged in overt lawlessness, destructive rioting, political violence, and mob intimidation on the basis of these pernicious ideas.
"Useful idiots" in the culture-shaping institutions noted above have grossly manipulated language and information to present these movements in the best possible light. They should be held accountable for enabling this civilization-destroying philosophy and the intolerant behavior it encourages. Those who run these institutions have served to manipulate and misinform an astounding proportion of the American public, rendering otherwise intelligent and well-educated people incapable of thinking critically about important social and political issues.
Terrified of being socially pathologized through reckless application of the far-Left’s litany of socially constructed -isms and -phobias, “enlightened” members of historically dominant groups have been intimidated to the point of total submission - As human fight or flight instincts are presented as evidence of privileged oppressors' irrational fears, "implicit biases," and hatred of all that is innocent, true, and good. Thus, social justice "allies" are compelled to ignore their own practical wisdom, lived experiences, instincts, and even evidence and rational arguments that conflict with social justice orthodoxy, further entrenching it in our institutions.
To achieve "less awful than all the other people in my group" status, "woke" oppressors therefore commit to never taking their own side in an argument with any Left-allied member of any "oppressed" group (regardless of how much more power, wealth, or actual privilege that individual may, in fact, have compared to themselves). Nor will they act to advance their reasonable self-interests because doing so would be seen as a selfish, irrational, evil effort to cling to "unearned" power and "privilege" and maintain "systems and structures of oppression."
