About

Launched in August, 2020, Indynoggin's primary mission is to provide a venue for free speech & independent thought about the day's most controversial social & political issues. It highlights problems at the intersections of identity, truth, and power in the context of the United States.

Such problems include the crisis of credibility facing many of our central institutions, social conflict and inequality, growing threats to individual liberty, as well as prevalent orthodoxies that serve as obstacles to addressing such problems in America today.

One of the project's components is empirical-analytic in nature, as I aim to identify the best empirical evidence about observable human differences and make rational inferences about how such differences (including different patterns of behavior) might contribute to persistent social and political problems and challenges facing the country.

The project's normative component involves an effort persuade others that reasonable people ought to consent to a particular set of epistemic, ethical, and political norms for public deliberations in our diverse republic.

An interpretive aspect of the project involves recognition of and reflection about human differences in an effort to better understand and accurately describe varying subjective identities, beliefs, values, aspects of personality, interests, and commitments in relation to the problems noted above. Toward this end, I describe aspects of my own subjective identity (i.e., my own particularly situated perspective, interests, values, commitments, etc.) that influence the project's normative components.
